Our Story
Built From Experience. Focused on Practical Solutions.
Empire Risk Consulting wasn't created around a single service or a generic consulting model. It developed from years of hands-on experience working in environments where planning, organization, safety, communication, leadership, and sound decision-making matter.
The company's roots began in security and risk management, providing firsthand experience with protecting people and property, assessing risk, coordinating personnel, responding to incidents, and supporting organizations during real-world operations.
Over time, that experience expanded beyond traditional security.
Work involving business operations, organizational leadership, emergency preparedness, public events, community organizations, and operational problem-solving revealed a recurring need: organizations often know what they want to accomplish but need additional structure, planning, resources, or experienced support to make it happen effectively.
Empire Risk Consulting has continued to evolve around that need.
Today, the company brings those experiences together through Business Operations Consulting, Emergency Preparedness & Safety Planning, Event Operations & Consulting, and Professional Notary Services.

Meet Michael Friedrichs
Founder & Owner, Empire Risk Consulting LLC
Michael Friedrichs founded Empire Risk Consulting with a professional background shaped by operations, security and risk management, organizational leadership, emergency preparedness, public events, and community involvement.
His experience has included working in both frontline and leadership roles—managing personnel and operations, developing procedures, assessing risk, coordinating event safety and logistics, working with organizational leaders and community partners, and helping solve the practical problems that arise when plans meet real-world operations.
Michael's event experience has also provided a unique perspective on organizational leadership and large public events. Through leadership and operational roles with community festivals and events, he has worked with boards, municipalities, public-safety agencies, vendors, contractors, volunteers, event partners, and community stakeholders to help coordinate complex operations involving thousands of attendees.
That combination of experiences influences how Empire approaches consulting today.
